A delegation of young student leaders from Burma visited Divan Center on a special leadership program. During the event, the students were oriented with Turkey, Turkish-Americans and how Divan members contribute to the multicultural diversity of United States by promoting tolerance and mutual understanding through various dialogue activities. The student guests also had a chance to taste samples from the rich Turkish cuisine and observe the demonstration of Water marbling art, Ebru.

Turkish families came together in a breakfast to observe the 23rd April National Sovereignty and Children's Day in Turkey. 23rd April was celebrated with dance, poetry and music performance of Turkish-American children living in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel-Hill and Fayetville.
